Aldinga is a seaside town near fabulous Aldinga Beach.

Aldinga Beach itself is one of the few in Australia where cars are permitted to drove on parts of the broad sand, making it easier for you to reach the water and surf. This is also a great spot for scuba diving and snorkelling, with the beach overlooking an aquatic reserve established to protect a rare reef formation.

    21. Fort Glanville Fort Glanville is one of the most complete examples of a 19th Century coastal artillery fort in Australia. Overlooking Semaphore Beach, the fort was built in 1880 to defend Adelaide and the important shipping area of Port Adelaide. Armed with military personnel, cannons, guns, a guard room, barracks, gunners mess, officers quarters and stores, Fort Glanville was ready should an invasion occur. Luckily, the invasion never came.
    22. Gallery 82 on King William Gallery 82 is a two-sectioned art space on King William Road at Hyde Park, featuring regular exhibitions by a broad range of noted contemporary living artists from the local South Australian area and further afield. The rear section of the gallery displays a vast range of Australian colonial and traditional works for investment, from Australian master painters such as Hans Heysen, Norman Lindsay and Walter Withers. This is a selection seldom seen outside major state and national galleries.
    23. Garden Island Ships' Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail The abandoned wrecks of the Garden Island Ships' Graveyard near Port Adelaide represent a collection of crafts that plied South Australian waters in an era when the maritime industry dominated transport, trade and employment.

Handspinners and Weavers Guild of South Australia Incorporated The Handspinners and Weavers Guild of South Australia Incorporated was founded in 1963 by a group of interested persons to further share their crafts of hand spinning and weaving through creating and teaching, has instigated the Guild in continuing its aims and objectives. The Guild formed 'Little Glory Gallery' in 1982, to offer for sale the creations of its members to the public.

    28. Marra Dreaming Marra Dreaming is an Aboriginal Community organisation located in Salisbury, South Australia, and approximately 20 kilometres north of the Adelaide General Post Office. Marra Dreaming produces a wide range of contemporary Indigenous Australian art including: jewellery, hand-painted ceramic items both beautiful and useful, decorated eggs, traditional woven baskets and mats, silk scarves in a glorious rainbow of colours and children's resources, including jigsaw puzzles, which are works of art in themselves being reproductions of original dot paintings.
    29. Marshall Arts Marshall Arts at Hyde Park specialises in high quality Indigenous art by emerging and established artists. All works are sourced ethically from Community Based Art Centres located in South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and Queensland.
    30. Mary Mackillop Centre Mary MacKillop Centre is a museum and interpretive centre, which highlights aspects of the educational and welfare work done by well-known Australian women, Mary MacKillop and the Sisters of St Joseph in nineteenth century South Australia.

    1. Aboriginal Tjilbruke Trail, Monument And Kingston Park Coastal Reserve With its superb coastal views, Kingston Park is home to the John Dowie Rock Sculpture at the heritage Aboriginal Site. Take a trip there and learn the Dreamtime Story of Tjilbruke and how the Spring Site evolved.
    2. Adelaide Zoo Adelaide Zoo is home to more than 1,800 animals and almost 300 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited in over 8 hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings.
    3. Angove Family Winemakers St Agnes Cellars at Tea Tree Gully stands as a lasting monument to Dr WT Angove, founder of Angove's Winemakers and Distillers, established in 1886. The site is the home of Australia's number one, St Agnes Brandy.
    4. Beaumont House Beaumont House is a Heritage listed building owned by the National Trust of South Australia. Built by Adelaide's first Anglican Bishop, Bishop Short, in 1847, during its long history the house has been the home of leading pioneer businessman Sir Samuel Davenport and was one of the first locations of plantings of olive groves and grape vines in South Australia.
    5. Beit Shalom Synagogue The Progressive Jewish Congregation in South Australia was formed in 1963 and dedicated its site at Hackney in 1985.
    6. Bethlehem Lutheran Church Visit the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, built in 1871 and 1872 and now registered with the National Trust as a heritage building.
    7. Brighton / Glenelg Historic Walks And Tours Welcome to Holdfast Bay! The Brighton/Glenelg Historic Walks and Tours have been designed to give you an insight into the history and heritage of this special area. You will probably take about one to two hours, depending on whether you are a brisk walker or a leisurely stroller! There is an optional tour included, and we have even suggested a break time so that you can enjoy all that Jetty Road has to offer.
    8. Christ Church Welcome to the beautiful and historic Christ Church established in the mid nineteenth century on the ridge of Montefiore Hill overlooking the city of Adelaide.
    9. Flinders Street Baptist Church Flinders Street Baptist Church was built in 1861, other buildings followed by 1877, including a large hall, classrooms, manse and residence. The buildings are heritage listed and the church is open for tours, quiet reflection or personal prayer.
    10. Jervois Basin Ships Graveyard Jervois Basin, in the upper reaches of the Port River, was a major ship-breaking site in Port Adelaide between the early 1900s and the late 1960s. Vessels salvaged here included large and small wooden and iron sailing ships, steamers and tugs.

    2. Elder Park Elder Park is located between the City of Adelaide and North Adelaide on the banks of the Torrens Lake. The park is host to many community events including Carols by Candlelight, Symphony under the Stars and the Adelaide Festival of Arts.
    3. Glenelg Tram The Glenelg Tram takes you from Adelaide (North Terrace) to one of South Australia's most popular seaside destinations, Glenelg. Until January 2006, vintage H-class tram cars provided all services on the Glenelg tram line. Since that time, they've been joined by a fleet of modern trams that operate the tram service.
    4. Light's Vision Light’s Vision is a lookout on Montefiore Hill, North Adelaide. Created in 1938, the lookout was built as a stage for its centrepiece, the life-size bronze statue of Adelaide's founding father, Colonel William Light. Light was responsible for fixing and surveying the site of the City of Adelaide in the summer of 1837 and today his statue stands on Montefiore Hill, looking out at the city he was instrumental in founding. Visitors to Light’s Vision will enjoy its sweeping views of the parklands and the city.

    1. Adelaide Himeji Garden The Adelaide Himeji Garden was built to symbolise the bonds of friendship between the City of Adelaide and the Himeji Region of Japan. It was opened on 3 April 1985.
    2. Belair National Park Only a 25-minute drive from Adelaide in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, Belair National Park is South Australia's oldest park and is a favourite with locals and a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
    3. Black Hill Conservation Park Black Hill Conservation Park is situated approximately 12 kilometres north-east of Adelaide in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges. The park rises distinctly from the Adelaide Plains, its densely vegetated contours standing boldly behind the north-eastern suburbs.
    4. Bonython Park/Tulya Wodli The largest of the named city parks, some 17 hectares, Bonython Park/Tulya Wodli attracts many thousands of visitors annually. The Park, situated between Port Road and the River Torrens hosts a range of events including Australian and international circuses and the Schutzenfest in January.

    1. Adelaide Visitor Information Centre The Adelaide Visitor Information Centre is located in the heart of Adelaide's shopping precinct offering assistance to local, interstate and overseas visitors.
    2. Glenelg Visitor Information Centre The Glenelg Visitor Information Centre is located on the foreshore overlooking the beach and jetty just metres from where the historic Glenelg tram stops. A booking service for tours, accommodation and car hire is available to visitors who come into our Information Centre. We help with all enquiries to do with the Glenelg area and we have Internet access for a small fee. The Dolphins Cafe, which shares the same premises, is fully licensed and caters for breakfast, light meals, tea and coffee.
    3. Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre The Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre is located in an 1860 heritage-listed building namely the 'Black, Diamond Centre' which originally housed the Customs, Courts, Police Station and Jail Cells. It has been restored to its original stone condition.
    4. South Australian Visitor & Travel Centre The South Australian Visitor & Travel Centre is located in the centre of the city with easy access by public transport. A taxi rank is located at the door of the Centre.
